While Mrs.Lewis lived on this earth, she left her footprint and we can all take a page from her book. Mrs. Lewis lived through the Great Depression, the Second World War and some trying times. She and her husband(the late Mr. Lewis) raised a large family at the same time were active within their church and community.
I had the pleasure to visit Mrs. Lewis in July 2018 with Sharon. As we chatted about Barachois she said (Sharon, make us a cup of tea.) She never lost her hospitality to welcome people into her home although she was not in her home in Barachois.
May she Rest In Peace. My deepest sympathy to all her family.

Our deepest condolences to the family. Thank you for having included us in many of the celebrations with your Mum, Grandmum, Aunt, Great Aunt.... We are blessed for having known her. Her never-ending spirit for life, for singing, for entertaining, all evident at her 99th birthday party in February, is an example of how to face challenges every day. Special memories of this great lady.

To the entire St.Croix family; I am so sorry on the loss of your beautiful Mom. I will forever remember her best when hearing her sing in the choir, her kind voice and elegant style. She was loving and kind, and was one of best of Barachois. She lived a great life and is singing with the angels now.

In Barachois she was known as Mrs. Lewis Ste Croix. She was a great lady who was always involved in and supported what was happening in the community. She is one of the last survivors of that generation and will be missed by large extended family and friends.
