Message from Cheryl Grant (Moyle) August 07, 2020

I am Cheryl, Lois and Neils daughter from Sandy Beach. When I last visited Gaspe, I took my friends and my daughter to Kaths house in Sandy Beach where I spent alot of my childhood, I happened to be lucky enough to have them meet this gentle darling man. He and some of his family were attending a ?wedding or baby shower at Beths old house, and they came up the hill to see who we were, standing on Dots old steps, HIs blue eyes and snow white hair were a vision, and he was as sweet as I remembered - may he rest in peace. I know he will be mourned, and I will be sure and keep him in mind when I honor him with an act of kindness - what he would have wanted. My condolences to you all, how lucky you were to have him in your lives

Message from Brianna August 07, 2020

I will always remember my uncle as a true veteran and warrior. He was one of a kind. I still listen to his recording on the net about him saying his experience in the war” taking out the shovel to the backyard to dig up a bottle of champagne, that was a good thing”. I didn’t fully no him well but I knew and heard enough to no what kind of man he truly was. He had a wonderful heart. I only wish I got to hear more stories about the war time and his history. He will always be remembered by that for sure.

Thank you for your service!
My deepest condolences to the family
Take it easy during this time. He will always be remembered.
