Passed away at the CSSS Côte de Gaspé, Hôtel-Dieu, on March 13 at the age of 95 years and 11 months, Mrs Cora Lenfestey, beloved wife of the late Alec Beck, formerly of Cape Cove, Paspebiac and Pointe Claire.
Devoted mother of The Rev. Frances Aird (Peter Ross). Cora will be sadly missed by the 3 grandchildren she loved so dearly: Mike Aird, Duncan Aird (Melinda), and Pamela (Raymond) Chung; 2 great-grandchildren (Alec and Olena Aird); her sister Ethel Biard Cass, sister-in-law Françoise LeCocq, 8 neices and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Isabelle (Claude) Dumaresq, brother Sgt. Francis Lenfestey, and step-brother Staff Sgt. Alfred LeCocq.
A Celebration of Cora’s Life will be held at Résidence Funéraire Valère Fortin Inc., located at 86 Jacques-Cartier St. in Gaspé, on Saturday, March 23, at 3 pm. The family will receive condolences from 2 to 3 pm. Interment will take place in the summer in St-James Cemetery, Cape Cove.
