Clayton Hunt

J.F. Fortin Funeral Homes Inc. of Chandler announces with deep sadness the passing of Mr. Clayton Hunt of Pabos Mills, who passed away at the CISSS de la Gaspésie, Chandler, on October 7, at the age of 76 years and 6 months.
He was the beloved son of the late Mr. Gerald Hunt and the late Mrs. Laura Murray, both of Pabos Mills.

Clayton will be lovingly remembered for his kind heart, playful spirit, and boundless sense of humor. He had a gift for making people laugh, always ready with a joke, a clever prank, or his quick witted and good-natured teasing that would leave you with a smile. To his many nieces and nephews, to whom he was more than an uncle, or friend, but a second father who filled every gathering with his warm laughter.

Those who will forever hold him in their hearts include:
his daughter Melanie Jolie Ann (Christian),
his brothers Reginald (Huguette), Gerald Jr. (Cecilia), Ricky (Cheryl), Rodney (Julie), and Blair (Suzette),
his sisters Joyce (André), Dina (Wolfgang), Evelyn (Jean-Jacques), Donna (Sylvain), and Sandra (Serge).
He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear relatives and friends who will forever treasure the joy he brought into their lives.

The family will receive your condolences on Saturday, November 1rst, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m., at the J.F. Fortin Funeral Home Inc., located at 275 Commerciale Ouest in Chandler.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1rst, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St-Cœur-de-Marie Church in Chandler.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire intensive care staff for their compassion, empathy, and the exceptional care provided to Clayton during his time with them.

Professional services have been entrusted to Salon Funéraire J.F. Fortin Inc., a proud subsidiary of the HG Division network, certified “Distinction” by the Corporation des Thanatologues du Québec and the Bureau de normalisation du Québec.
