It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Laird Almond who left this world on November 14th, 2025 at the age of 72.
He leaves behind his six sons Robert Jr., Brandon (Raven), Richard (Heather), James (Rebecca), Timothy (Sadie), and Drake.
his thirteen grandchildren Zoey, Tristen, Sydney, Rayna, Griffin, Eleanor, Wilson, Sawyer, Charles, Chloe, Kasen, Mckenna, and Ryleigh;
his brothers, James and Darcy; his sister, Barbara; the mother of his children, Marlene Major as well as
many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loves him dearly.
He was a man who valued the simple but most meaningful parts of life-- sharing stories around the kitchen table, lending a helping hand without being asked, and showing up for the people he loved in every way that mattered.
Though his absence leaves an ache that cannot be measured, his life remains a gift-- a reminder of the power of love, loyalty, and resilience. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date where family and friends will gather to honour him.

Nos plus sincères condoléances à la famille
Our deepest sympathies to the Almond family.
Bobby was a good neighbour, a loyal friend, a proud father and a loving brother. There was nothing he wouldn't do for anyone in need, quietly and with no need for thanks, just because it was the right thing to do. He has been a much loved friend for as long as I can remember and I will miss him forever. Time spent with Bobby could be funny, thoughtful, spirited, oppositional, educational but always valuable. My deepest condolences to his deeply loved siblings and the sons, daughter's in law and grandchildren who gave his heart wings. It was a privilege to know Bobby and I am grateful. Safe travels, Bobby until we meet again.
Our Deepest Sympathies to BJ, and the entire Almond family! George, Marcelle , Lynn and the Sullivan family!
Louise and I give our sincere and deepest condolences to all Bobby’s sons and the entire Almond family. Bobby was a great neighbour growing up and a wonderful help to my Dad. He’ll be in my memories forever.
To the whole family "sincere sympathies". Our thoughts are with you with tenderness and sympathy.
Our sincere condolences to all the Almond family. Bobby was a kind and faithful friend. We will miss his visits. He was also a very helpful volunteer at St Paul's Anglican Church Shigawake. He will be a huge loss to the community. We are keeping you all in our prayers.
