I would like to offer you my deepest sympathies for the lost of your husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Leo was a very good friend of my father Ephrem Dumas who past away too early 30 years ago.
I remember Monsieur Leo playing music and singing with my father. They were so happy doing this together. I will keep preciously those memories.

We were very sorry to hear about Leo's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Ethel and your family.

We sure are going to miss you. I'm sure you're giving the folks all sorts of tormenting and laughter in the great beyond. I'll cherish my memories of playing the guitar and chatting in your kitchen. You were a true Gaspesian "character" with stubborn ways and a big heart.

My condolences to the family and your lovely wife, Ethel, who was there during most of my visits and was kept us in check and was always hospitable with a good home cooked meal.

So sorry to hear this news. Leo and my Dad were great friends. I will always remember his jokes, great spirit and his great laugh that made anyone smile.

I have such a fond memory of Leo (Sue Fitz's dad) while I was in high school in Gaspe. My deepest condolences to Sue and the family. May peace be with you and may he rest in peace.

Leo has been a very good friend and a good confident to me (Guy )and I remember him since my early years...In fact I was 7 years old when I met him and since then Leo has been a legend and an inspiration. Overall he was always a gentleman and has giving to everybody a true smile and a good word . Thank you Leo for being a part of my life musically as well as friendly !!! You will always be in my mind my friend !!!!

J'avais environ 8 ans lorsque j'ai rencontré Léo pour la première fois... Jamais je n'oublierai notre fou rire mémorable, où chacun riait du rire de l'autre ! Je n'ai que de bons mots pour "Le beau Léo ".

C'est avec tristesse et étonnement que j'ai apris le décès de Léo. Une page d'histoire de notre vie se tourne avec ce départ. Léo a toujours été une personne signifiante pour nous, les petits Synnott, les voisins.

So sad to hear of Leo's death...I remember his keen wit, his love for music, and his positive outlook on life. I was delighted to learn that he had been collecting Gaspesian music for years and found a home for his collection before his death. My condolances to Ethel and family and Lewis and Vivian.
