Margaret Ida Jones Ste-Croix, the most resilient woman we have ever known, passed away on Tuesday, July 28th, 2020.

To her family, she was quite simply, everything. A Mother like no other, her three children adored her. Through her unending resilience, she gave them the irreplaceable gift of being able to grow older along side her.

Ida was also a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt and cherished each and every one who earned her these titles. Her grandkids and great-grandkids were precious to her.

She cherished family, loved to laugh, cared deeply about others and found strength in her faith. As a tribute to her faith and her huge heart, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, an act of kindness be made in her honour, to help someone in need or make the world a better place.

She lived her life fully and fought hard for every year she shared. When determined, she was a force to be reckoned with, and even life itself bowed to her will many times over.

She now joins her husband, Leonard, her two children Judy and Christopher, her parents, her brothers and sisters, and many friends and relatives that she will be so delighted to have around her again.

She also lives on in her three kids, Wayne (Val), Nancy and Bonnie, her grandkids, Melissa (Marco), Chris (Marie), Jeremy and Theo and her great-grandkids, Kyanna, Kylie, Axelle and Tia.

Ida left an imprint on the hearts of all the lives she touched. She was, and always will be, so loved.

Visitations will be held at the Salon Funéraire Valère Fortin in Gaspé, on Friday, July 31.

Visiting hours will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a celebration of the life of Mrs. Ida Jones Ste-Croix at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m.

I was so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Mrs. Ste-Croix was always so pleased and welcoming when I came to visit her during my visits to Gaspe.
I have very fond memories of her throughout my elementary, high school, Cegep, and adulthood.
A wonderful lady!!!!!!!
