It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harris Vezina, husband of Laurine Assels, which occurred at the Gaspé hospital on January 31st, 2026 at the age of 85 years and 8 months.
He leaves to mourn:
his loving wife Laurine Assels;
his children: Paul, Stephen (Jennifer), Dan (April), Larry (Kimberley), Franky, Harry (Amy), Billy (Susie) and Leona (Marko);
his many grandchildren:
his great-grandchildren,
his brother James and sisters Judy and Therese;
his nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He has been reunited in heaven with his sons Harvey and Wade.
Please join the family as they celebrate the life of Harris on May 9th, 2026. They will gather at St-Andrew’s Church in York for an open visitation from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm.
Following the service, all are welcome at York Hall starting at 3:30 pm for a reception in his honor.
Professional services have been entrusted to the Valère Fortin Funeral Home Inc., a subsidiary of the HG Division network certified Distinction by the Corporation des Thanatologues du Quebec and by the Normalisation du Québec.
