It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Jane Walsh-Briand, wife of the late Mr. Melvin Briand, at the age of 80 years and 11 months. She was from Douglastown.
The family will receive condolences at St-Patrick's Church in Douglastown on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
The funeral will take place at 10:30 a.m. the same day.
Mrs. Jane leaves behind her children: Velena, Eddie, Larry (Sandy), Loris, and Doris (Perry);
her grandchildren: Jessica, David, Logan, Liam, and Lexi;
her great-grandchildren: Zachary, James, Kira, Milan, and Emeraude;
her twin sister Joyce and her other siblings: Maxine, Caroline, Albertine, John, and Madeleine.
She was predeceased by her parents Albert Walsh and Isabelle Tremblay, and her sisters Hazel and June.
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Valère Fortin Funeral Home in Gaspé, a subdivision of the HG Division network awarded Distinction by the Corporation of thanatologists of Québec and BNQ-certified by the Bureau de normalisation du Québec.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
