It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of John "Jack" Gaul on September 30, 2024. John was a beloved father to his daughter, Melissa, a wonderful friend to Melissa's partner, Geoff, a loving husband to his late wife, Marilyn, a devoted son-in-law to Muriel and the late Cletus Boyle, and a cherished son to the late Margaret and the late Thomas Gaul.
He will be greatly missed by his family, including his siblings, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins, his many friends and fellow musicians, as well as by his caring companion, Monique Desjardins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Barachois, Quebec. The visitation will take place at the Valère Fortin Funeral Home in Barachois on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The family will also receive condolences on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Valère Fortin Funeral Home in Barachois. The burial will take place at a later date.
There are no words that can express how grateful we are to family and friends for the outpouring of love and support following John's passing. We would particularly like to thank Waldon, Helena, Joey, Randy, Bernadette, Kenny, Angela, and Beryl for all that they have done to support us during this difficult time.
